The sample resumes in this book and on the website have been provided to give many ideas on how to create the best format for you and to highlight your strengths, skills, and results.
Various fonts (typefaces) have been used so you can determine which you like best. The name of the font appears at the top right of each resume. Times Roman and Arial (Helvetica) are the typefaces most commonly used in resumes. When you see Times, it means Time New Roman. Microsoft calls its version of Helvetica, Arial.
Though this book presents the basic principles for writing the empowered resume it cannot provide examples for all positions. If you don’t see your job, don’t panic, the ideas presented can be used universally.
As you read the resumes, notice that the people being described seem like real, living, highly capable people, a quality rarely found in resumes. Strive to make your resume as interesting as theirs. Do everything possible to bring results into your resume.
